Sylvia Namutebi was crowned Miss Uganda 2011 at the Golf Course Hotel in Kampala on September 9, 2011. She is 23 year old and will represent Uganda in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. Primativa Aliguma was the first runner-up and Amy Nandasi was the second runner-up. This is the first Miss Uganda organized by Brenda Nanyonyo and Kezzi Entertainment.

Sylvia has a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management from Makerere University Business School. She enjoys sports, watching documentaries and modeling. She admires German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Salha Israel, Miss Ilala 2011, was crowned Vodacom Miss Tanzania 2011 at the National Finale held in Mlimani City Conference Centre in Dar es Salaam on September 9, 2011. She will represent Tanzania in Miss World 2011 in London, England on November 6. The first runner-up was Tracy Sospeter. The second runner-up was Alexia William.

Gabriela Palacio Díaz was been selected to replace to Cynthia de la Vega for Miss World 2011 Pageant. Palacio is the firt runner-up to Cynthia de la Vega, who was dethroned recently.











Palacio from Aguascalientes is 21 year old and stands 1.79 m. She represented Mexico in Miss International 2010 in Chengdu, China and won the Miss Photogenic Award.

The 61th Miss World Final will be held on 8th November 2011 in London.

The date and location for the 61st Miss World Final has been announced -- 8th November 2011, in London, England.



The first Miss World event was created by Eric Morley in 1951 as part of his promotion of the festival of Britain which took place in the South Bank of the River Thames. The Miss World is approaching its 60th birthday and wants to celebrate with a very special party by returning where it all began on the London's South Bank.

The special event will feature from winners from the past and present, and we will be re-living some of the special moments and the star names that have been a part of our 60 year history. Our celebration will take contestants across the United Kingdom in the runner-up to the final, to be held in London on Tuesday 8th November 2011.
