A 21-year old student from Ramkamhaeng University was crowned Miss Tiffany Universe in the resort city of Pattaya on Friday night.
The yearly pageant of the cabaret theatre Miss Tiffany Pattaya features the most beautiful transgenders and transvestites in the Kingdom. It has attracted young transgenders — from students to professionals — and has launched the career of a number of past winners.
Third year communication arts student Sirapassorn “Sammy” Auttayakorn from Bangkok’s Ramkamhaeng University and Suan Dusit University bested 29 other contestants in a pageant watched by millions of Thais through a live telecast.
The first runner-up was 23-year-old student Saranrat “Nat” Chaiyakorn. The second runner-up was Tissanamadi “Gigi” Bunniyom, a fourth year costumes design student at Bangkok’s Rajabhat University.
